The gods had answered my prayers. Guess what? I found the perfect shrunken blazer - and it’s mine! I can think of so many ways to tweak the sweet thing. Skater boy, rocker, goddess in a blazer, lounging, tomboy - there are an infinite number of ways to use it as a layer to either simplify or “hottify” an outifit which is in itself ironic really. I’m so ecstatic. I was having a not-so-great day so I stopped to do some shopping before heading to work (the best pick-upper!). I picked up an ankle-length cardie (or was it a sweater?) ala Kate Bosworth and the of-the-moment floral 90s-reminiscent dress. I was about to leave, but for some unknown reason, I decided to do some more window shopping and there it was, like a shining star to a lost traveler. What was I to do when confronted with something so beautiful and something so wanted-at-the-moment? Of course, without hesitation I hurriedly grabbed it and paid for it, carefully not showing too much excitement as to not to make a big fuss to the other shoppers lest I want them to get curious that I was going gaga over a menswear piece of clothing. After that, my day just became so shiny and bright that I was unusually energetic and bubbly. But I didn’t tell anybody about this little escapade before work. Just you. They’re probably going to know this by Monday anyway when they read this entry at the office.
Some ways I’d like to style the blazer:

Off to meet friends on a Saturday afternoon.

Typical accessories you’d find me in would be a tie band (like this black one), a heart necklace that I’d styled, and bangles (either just a single bangle or a lot of bangles). In the case of the heart necklace, I mixed a silver necklace with a gold heart. For some reason, I like to mix silver and gold. I’ve heard and read they shouldn’t go together and I the idea of not following this “fashion rule” just makes me all the more proud that I do it everyday. Breaking rules in small amounts I guess because I don’t (or rarely) break laws whatsoever. The tee (does anyone know who this is?) is just hot. Finding something similar may be a dilemma for me as I’m not a tshirt person. I’m only beginning to discover the realm of tshirt fashion. The boots are similar to the one I’d been eyeing on for some time that I’m thinking whether I should get tomorrow. The hot pants are just well, an ultimately new thing because dressing too sexy is something I hadn’t done in a long time. I guess not showing too much skin for a long time has taken it’s toll on me and now I fear it like it’s a disease of some sort. No, my reason doesn’t involve cellulite or fat or insecurity. I’d just come to the point where I find it a bit tacky. Paris and Britney and Lilo have kept me away from anything overtly sexy for some time. Jeans with a cute, sexy top for clubbing? I’ve come to the point where dresses feel much more comfortable. And less clubbing, more long talks over tea or coffee have been my thing. Oh well, things change. And I’m willing to change - for the sake of the shrunken blazer (ha!), even if I have to wear err hot pants. Hmm but if all else fails, I’m sticking to cropped denim shorts.
