Vintage dresses, gladiator heels, and Celestina Pacquaio

Just because I have the lamest excuse for not being able to post outfits for decades now (photos wont upload in the pc, see it’s so lame i told ya!), I’m gonna share a secret I discovered some time ago. Nikita Jade is like one of those dream dainty shops you want to rush to when you’re feeling blue and feel like shopping vintage pretty things in hoards. I personally styled selected vintage dresses and paired them with just released stuff for vintage modern feel.

Fashiolution Summer Fashion denim cut off shorts, backward heels, oversized teardrop earrings

April 8th, 2008 Mej Posted in accessories, fashiolution, fashion, how i style it 3 Comments » 396Views

As much as I’d like to prance around in a birthday suit, this is as close as it can get and classy at that. Lately, I’ve been crushing on leopard print bags and shoes and this Roberto Cavalli is so close to the said print, but at the same time the embellishments don’t scream animal print. Which is the point of this entire entry. I sometimes make fashion complicated than it should be whereas I should just be having fun and wear whatever catches my fancy (and doesn’t make me drench in sweat). Animal print that isn’t too animal print? You get my drift?

Fashiolution Rosette halter top, celestina clutch, heart-shaped necklace, mini denim shorts, nude flats

The summer is becoming too much for me, if there’s such a thing. I have summer dresses that literally were meant for warm weather, but they too seem like if worn, I’ll end up in a heat stroke.  Instead of dressing up as myself, I opt to dress as someone else being a tad too mediocre just because the season is so selfish as to not even lend several cool winds by my way. On the other hand, I’ve been hunting on shorts, denim cut-offs, or denims that I’ll cut off myself because that’s just the most practical thing ever. Sheer tops well, that aren’t so sheer (no indecent exposure for me), are perfection. Yesterday, as I was hoarding tuxedo blazers and such at a nicely ventilated and positioned warehouse (located in Ortigas), my shoe decided that it wanted to die. Luckily, the store carried flip flops and those rubber sandals you see everywhere that comes in a cheapie price tag. I opted to buy the latter as I’ve sworn not to wear flip flops on Sundays, but ended up ranting because when I said that the sandals carried a cheapie price, I didn’t expect that later on I’d be bothered because they looked really cheap. As I later went on to Shangri La (the mall, not the hotel), I painstakingly tried dozens of shoes, but for some reason nothing caught my fancy. All I could think of were my unworn bejeweled and sequined and embellished lovely sandals at home waiting to be worn on a desperate Sunday like this.

The shorts are a girl’s best friend this incredibly warm season.

Fashiolution Summer Style Ruffle Print Shirt, Ruffle Skirt, Celestina Nora Clutch, Horn Shaped Pendant, Thomas Wylde Leather Sandals

The heat just makes me feel so uninspired to debut all the beautiful outfits that remain in my mind. The fear of looking drenched all the more pulls me back from actually donning lacey dresses and sheer tops. This outfit is something I ought to wear one of these days to our well-ventilated office, taking into consideration that I don’t have to run off from one place to another as even though it’s extremely hot, there are out-of-nowhere winds that may sweep off the swingy skirt and alas, expose the derriere.
